Ghost Lights

They are a big mystery, sometimes they look like hundreds of glowing balls traveling, perhaps they are gateways to the spiritual world and the dead travel together through them.

A lot of areas that have ghost lights have had tragedies happen within them, train wrecks, massacres and things of that sort.

Mist

This generally is a thick mist like fog, plasma type of material, that shows up on cameras generally, it looks like swirls, it signifies that an apparition is either manifesting or has just manifested.

Residual: These are most common where the ghost, spirit, or entity repeats its last moments before departing. These types of ghost are called phantoms, they do not know they are dead and there imprint from the past is left for the future.

Shadow Ghosts

These are very elusive ghosts, many theories about them say they are entities from other worlds, they are transparent ,most are seen as if they are shadows. Once noticed they seem to vanish.

Orbs: Orbs are very common. They are also referred to as globes of light. Some of them appear in different colors, some are white and transparent. Some have faces on them and some give off brilliant light. They are always found in most haunted places as opposed to non haunted.

There are many different types of Phenomena we can encounter when we are researching into the Paranormal, throughout this article I will try and explain a few.

Ghosts

Today the term Ghost has become very popular especially when we talk of hauntings. Ghosts may become visible though this does not mean to say they are true spirit. The way we can tell of their presence is through a strong smell, strange noises, and cold or hot spots. Some believe ghosts are trapped souls, due to not knowing they have died, or as some believe they don’t cross over due to unfinished business. In folklore they are believed to look like a living person and partake in normal everyday life and are so lifelike they can fool anyone. Some say ghosts are just a play back of a moment in time recorded into the fabric of a building usually due to a traumatic event. Sometimes this playback can be triggered off by certain things such as anniversary’s etc, this then shows us what we term ghosts this in fact isn’t real and will in now way communicate as it is simply a recording of a moment in time. Most would describe ghosts as remnants of past events with no inelegance or personality. Today through research we are now beginning to realise that there is much more to the spirit world that was first thought and that these different kinds of phenomena are indeed separate entities.

Spirits

Spirits come in many different forms such as Guardian Angels, Spirit Guides, Elementals and demons. Spirits dwell in the spirit world and have free will to come and go as they please, they can and do intervene in our affairs, for the better or for the worse. Spirits are not ghosts they are they soul that carries on after death and is eternal. After death a spirit mends and becomes one with the divine source, even after a traumatic passing such as a car crash or painful death the spirit has no physical defects. Unlike with ghosts spirits can and do communicate with us through clairvoyants, validating to their loved ones that they are ok and are ongoing they have just passed into a different realm. There are many different levels in the spirit world, and it is said that in this life what we do and how we conduct ourselves depicts what level we will go to when we pass over. What we have to remember is when we conduct an investigation is to establish what and who we are dealing with, to many times have I seen and been told about the investigator being hurt during an investigation purely because they don’t know what they are dealing with, or the power that can be manifested by some spirits. This is why it is important to be respectful at all times and never do such things like goading a spirit or shouting as this will only resulting making the situation worse, the other thing is spirit sees this as an insult and quite frankly I don’t blame them. The other thing to be mindful of is spirit attachment, now I know there are some people out there that do no believe in this but believe you me its real. Unfortunately these days it is not taken seriously enough, it’s all too real and can be very detrimental to the person

Attachments are when a spirit entity becomes earthbound due to unfinished business or they are not aware they have died; it then attaches itself to a human host that can fulfill its needs. Symptoms can vary but can include, changes in behavior, mood swings, alcohol or drug abuse etc. sometimes it can be benevolent therefore the host is unaware they have attachments, so this is something everyone needs to be mind full of when conducting an investigation or communicating with spirit, although this can be rare it does happen.

Nature Spirits  

Now many people do not believe in fairy or the fairy realm, well think of it this way if you believe in spirit you must believe in nature spirits or Elementals a little hypocritical don’t you think. Elementals are natural earth sprites and in Celtic folklore are very much believed in, especially in Ireland. Even Native American Indians have nature spirits in their culture, the land and the animals are sacred to them. Nature Spirits are said to have magical powers and again live in another realm that is rarely seen. Where fairy lore exists it is said it is very much like the spiritual realms, there are many stories in Celtic folklore that says the ancient burial sites and megaliths are haunted by these and many other beings of the fairy realm, stories of this kind still continue today. So if you believe in on you have to believe in the other.

Poltergeist

This is a mischievous malevolent spirit or that is capable of moving objects and causing disturbances. This is a phenomenon that over the years has caused much controversy and there are many different thoughts as to what causes this. The most famous case being the Enfield poltergeist, even today this case is still being questioned as to what was the cause. This phenomenon to feed of the energy of a person and that person seems to be the focus of the activity, usually female of puberty age. Poltergeists are usually blamed on malevolent spirits or demons, and the devil although this has never been proven. Poltergeists can cause physical harm such as scratches etc. Some believe this is simply Psychokinesis stemming from the host, this can cause disruption especially in a family situation whereby so much anger and stress is caused to energy levels are extremely high and the entity feeds of this. It is also reported in some cases that the host can become possessed. Cases of poltergeist activity can go as quickly as they started with no warning at all.

Demons

Demons are malevolent spirits that are able to interfere with human affairs and that exist on the lower vibration more commonly known as hell. Their sole purpose is to torment and cause misery whenever they can. Again demonic possession is real and there are many well-documented cases worldwide of this phenomenon. There are upper level and lower level demons and there is a Hierarchy the same as the spirit world. Demonic possession usually results in exorcism and this is performed by a priest but only in the most severe cases.
